Our resident Santas, ready to hand out presents.
And there were plenty of presents to hand out.
We did have to giggle about Frank Sinatra showing up on the screen as Christmas carols played on the TV. There had been pretty snow or fireplaces scenes, but not when I took a photo.
A favorite gift was the cutting boards that Kevin made from a piece of lumber that had been milled from a walnut tree on dads' property. Dad had several boards that had been used for various projects through the years, and this may be the last board. Another may still show up, but Kevin wanted to make us all something special from it in case it is indeed the last. I so wish his grandpa was still with us to see what Kevin made from them! We miss mom and dad so much, but are thankful for the family they made, and that we can still get together each Christmas.
In the moment, we don't think to take photos.
The kids made such special gifts.
John whittled ornaments, and also made a special ornament for Aunt Jessica of their cats.
Gracie sewed coasters for everyone...her first sewing project! She also blessed her Aunt Jessica with several handmade pieces, including one with a verse she wrote herself.
How did we not get pictures of those? But they are in our memories for sure.
Happy holidays!!
